I don't think the shading worked out like I wanted to. But, I decided to go ahead and finish it anyway so I can move onto something else.
Anyway. Ya'll think you don't know who this is. But, you do. I just have no explanation for her yet. ewe;;
Basically, this is Raven. ...she's in disguise. See, last month, I got this random brain-baby that she and Jason got forced into working with each other, behind Bruce's back. I don't know why yet. Probably never will. Anything involving this "plot line" will probably just be a picture with some dialogue every now and again.
But yeah! She's just in a wig and a business suit (and contacts). And wears some of the metal alloy over her face as a mask instead of using it as a weapon like she does as Phantom (it's reflective). And that suit is lined with various sharp objects like knives, daggers, throwing stars and what else. She's "Russian" (Rae puts on a fancy accent) and she's a whole lot colder than Phanny is. ...still doesn't kill, but...doesn't mean she has to save the bad-guys from Red Hood. And she talks pure business...it's nothing personal.
Right now I'm just calling her Operator. ...yes, Marble Hornet watchers, I know. See, I didn't even realize she had a Slender Man resemblance (white face/business suit) until I realized that she could still stretch her arms out (similar to his tentacles). And since I couldn't stop thinking about that, the name Operator stuck...especially since Raven normally sticks around the themes of supernatural beings and entities. Slendy references fit this category.
SO YEAH. .... I'm gonna go work on something more important now.
It is, but it's actually just a melted down ...piece of the alloy that she uses as a weapon? xD When she runs her thumbs across her fingers, it activates it to turn into ...claw-type things, that she could use in case of close combat or to climb crap or whatever. Sure. xD
The alloy? No, that's from Batman: The Mystery of Batwoman, and it was originally introduced by a character named Roxanne Ballantine. But it's never been seen again in any kind of Batman continuity (at least that I know of, which makes me sad because it's a REALLY creative invention), so I made it Raven's primary weapon, since like any Ravenclaw or Sherlock Holmes fanatic she's very creative and resourceful with her fighting styles.
It can be instructed to take on whatever preprogrammed form it is commanded when touched or bent certain ways. Normally Raven has it take form of her twin swords or a long-staff, but, during her Operator phase, she thins it down so that she wears it like false-nails, and then when it receives the right signal (running her thumb across the tops of her other fingers), they spike out like claws. To get them to go back down, she has to tap each of them individually, because running her thumb across them might risk her slicing her thumb open.
Yes I do remember that alloy, as a Animated Batman fanatic, I've seen allllll the movies. xD I kinda meant the nail polish but you answered that for me as well. And you're right; it was a good idea they never used..it could be sooooo weaponized.
I liked Roxanne..she was a good character. Not so much the black girl..I'm not racist, just her character was a bit 1 dimensional.
Sherlock ROCKS! xD I really don't think I could be a Ravenclaw though..not smart enough. I'd always sit outside the commom room door because I couldn't solve the riddle. P:
PAHAHA! Love this one, ValRaevn. Since I'm a new Marble Hornets fan, I enjoy seeing The Slender Man on here. You need to write a story where Raven battles Slender Man! 8D
First off, I love the title-pun-thing. The shading is awesome, I saw the Power Girl tutorial, and this came out brilliant. The pin-stripe is classy too; the whole thing looks menacing and mob-boss-like.
Dare I say, is that a hidden blade sticking out of Raven's the Operator's sleeve?
...
You didn't just make that off the top of your head, right? x3
