THIS IS FOR =oONightingaleOo's art jam! Cutting it close, like I always am, yep, since today's the last day for the 1920s.
Reason #1 why I should have done this sooner? Because the dorm internet SUCKS and looking up image references and researching for various 1920s fashion was four times as hard as it should have been. <xDD
But whatever. I know a lot if random history about 1920s fashion now. Forever adding random fodder to my brain to spurt out during conversations and receive the "why the heck do you know that" look. I just got it recently when I tried explaining how the infected in the video game "The Last of Us" work. --anyway. The 1920s were actually quite fascinating as far as make up and fashion goes. I really enjoyed reading about it. :/
It was hard to draw if not just because 1920s clothes weren't form-fitting, and I kept questioning if I had drawn Rae too long or not, and I went back in and drew her skeleton about 5 or 7 times, even though I had already 'confirmed' she was roughly the right height. <xD;; This piece would be from around 1925, because the dress/skirt line didn't reach the knees until then.
Roy and Ace were going to be in this, too, for sake of having a male 1920s appearance and because I need to practice drawing German Shepherds, but, HAHA, I have homework oops.
That is all. I need to go back to obsessively drawing hands, feet, and German Shepherds.
The non-form-fitting thing would've worked well with me, I could hide all the not-too-slim parts of me and we'd all look like we have the same bod. xD Nice way to blend.
Raven looks really pretty in '20s fashion, and that's a mighty interesting design for a dress, it's kinda wraparound, and that incision in the middle intrigues me.
What's a German Shepherd... (I'm assuming you don't mean the dog, since it's capitalized.)
xDD I...wouldn't look any different... *lacks curves*...
A lot of the 1920s dresses had some funky design to them. The original design for this one that I found was yellow, and...ew, yellow. Especially since she's already blonde. xD So I changed the color.
...it is the dog, I just suck at grammar when it comes to things like that. xD;; I cap'ed German and must've just gone right into capping the rest, too.
Your "ew, yellow" reminded me of Xenophilus Lovegood (Luna's dad) wearing a omelette-like yellow robe to Bill & Fleur's wedding..I agree that your color is prettier. :3
..OH. I thought it was the name of some fashion style or something. Or maybe the name of shoes, like Hush Puppies. xP
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. THIS IS SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. FRAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :LKSDFJLIEASJ:LKDJFLSDKFJLSKFJ
And when I drew a guy for the t-shirt I couldn't find anything cool that guys wore back then. I could only find tuxes and guys in really adorable hats that I couldn't draw...

Yeeeah, I guess it's because women's wear will always be more...uh...diverse? Interesting? Fashion-obsessive? Sure.
